Psychological counseling for children, often referred to as child therapy or counseling, is a specialized form of therapy designed to help children navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges.

The psychologist can also provides parent training/counseling, guidance for appropriate school placement and IEP interpretation.

Who It is For

  • Counseling can address a wide range of issues, including but not limited to:

    • Anxiety and stress

    • Depression and mood disorders

    • Behavioral problems

    • Trauma and post-traumatic stress

    • Social skills and peer relationships

    • Family conflicts and transitions (such as divorce or relocation)

    • Academic difficulties and learning disorders

    • Self-esteem and identity issues

Psychotherapy Session

How It Works

Our office takes an initial intake and parents fill out new patient forms

​

  • Each session is 45 minutes

  • The initial meeting is with the parents only

  • A plan for frequency and treatment approach is determined  

  • Sessions are then with psychologist and child

  • Cost $265 per session paid at time of service

  • In person sessions or virtual sessions available
